Extreme bike parkour through the streets of San Fransisco

Professional BMX and extreme cyclists Tim Knoll, Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, Zak Maeda, Casey Holm, and William Hendrickson took to the streets of San Francisco to capture an exciting series of runs that combined the principles of parkour with the challenging obstacles of bike trial stunt courses.

The result is an exhilarating, heart-pounding ride through one of the most beautiful cities in the United States.

How the “Bike Parkour” video was made

This amazing video was sponsored by Ford and coordinated by the advertising geniuses at Team Detroit. A special team of producers were challenged to take a pair of new hybrid Ford cars, “one tank of gas,” and go on a series of unique adventures. For the “Bike Parkour” episode the team decided to travel to California.

The video was shot using a Canon 1DC, a Canon 5D Mark III, and a GoPro3. The production team included Devin Graham (director/cinematographer), Buddy Enright (producer), Jared Cook (cinematographer), Parker Waldeck (cinematographer and video editing), and Dan Pugsley (sound design).

Production involved a lot of running, hand held shots, and use of steady cam rigs. There were a few accidents along the way, but the production assistants on the shoot managed to keep most everyone in good shape.
